How to play 2048
Every move slides all the tiles on the board as far as they can go in one direction. Two tiles with the same number merge into one tile worth their sum, and a new 2 or 4 appears after each move. Keep merging to build the 2048 tile before the board fills up.
Controls
- ☁Keyboard: arrow keys to slide
- ☁Touch: swipe up, down, left, or right
Tips
- ✦Pick a corner and keep your biggest tile there.
- ✦Use mostly two or three directions and avoid the one that pulls your big tile out of its corner.
- ✦Build a descending chain of values along one edge so merges cascade.
